Are you a Nikon Adobe Lightroom user looking for a better starting point than Adobe Camera RAW provides? In that case, OneThirdStop might be the website you're looking for. OneThirdStop provides Lightroom develop presets that mimic some of the Nikon Capture NX NEF conversions. While these don't necessarily provide an exact match to Capture NX, they are a very good starting point and worth giving a try. Currently there are conversions available for the Nikon D200, D300 and D2Xs, but they hope to offer more presets for other camera manufacturers in the future. I've included a few comparison shots after the jump.
This cocktail photo is my entry in CLICK - a monthly culinary photography contested hosted by the folks at Jugalbandi.

Many people have an aversion to using flash and prefer to use "natural light." I think a lot of this stems from the fact that many beginners don't fully understand the various different flash modes and how to make the flash work for them. This basic overview is designed to explain some of the different automatic flash modes as well as how and when to use them.
This week's images are a continuation of Gatorland. This week we have some parrots and flamingos.
